We are looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic and conscientious new member of staff to join our workshop team here at Lakeside Karting, assisting the mechanics.  No mechanical knowledge required - full training provided. 

Your main role is to move and clean karts, so you will need to be physically fit. You will complete basic tasks such as building up wheels/tyres and as the role progresses, the right person will be trained in basic mechanics – so good mechanical aptitude would be a strong advantage. There will be times when you will be required to assist the circuit staff out on track or in the pitlane.

This position is suitable for an applicant wanting to work flexible hours at the weekends, on a part-time, ongoing basis.  Some weekday shifts may also be available.

Lakeside and Brentwood Karting are looking for a Sales Member with a minimum of 2 years experience within an office based sales team. You must have a proven track record of coordinating inbound and outbound sales whilst being target driven. You will form part of an already established team of highly driven Sales Professionals.

• Servicing our existing customers - on-site, telephone and online.
• Maximising Personal sales targets.
• Working to agreed monthly sales targets.
• Establishing, maintaining and expanding your customer base.
• Developing sales strategies.
• Making warm/cold calls.
• Reporting to managers.
• Maintaining a high level of presentation and professionalism at all times.

Skills and qualifications

• 2 Years Proven Sales Results in an office based sales environment.

Hours and salary Flexible & Varied hrs, 35hr minimum week over 7 days - Office/Reception open from 9am 'til 8pm
Basic £8.00 ph plus Personal Monthly Bonus OTE £20-25k per year

We are looking for a lively, friendly person with strong communication skills to take control of reception at our busy kart circuits based in Thurrock and Brentwood, Essex (rota split across the two sites). The successful candidate will have proven experience in a customer facing role and enjoy working as part of a team.

This position is suitable for an applicant wanting to work both days at the weekend – some weekdays will be available on an as-and-when/holiday cover basis – to discuss. Hrs will vary slightly from season to season but will be minimum 20 a week.

Subject to a satisfactory 6 month probation period, this is a permanent on-going position.

Starting Salary: £7+ depending on age, experience and skills

• Use of till, PDQ, streamline machine.
• First Aid qualification an advantage.

General duties

• Greeting customers and signing them in for events, and dealing with general enquiries.
• Taking bookings and payments.
• Accurately entering information onto the CRM.
• Keeping reception clean, tidy and stocked.
• Stock taking and ordering from suppliers.
• Answering incoming calls

We are looking for a mature, confident manager to join our growing team, looking after the day to day running of a busy go-kart centre.
