The good news is that we’ve got a load of brand spanking new ones and they are just waiting for you to take for a spin!
Custom made for Lakeside Karting, these karts are only available to drive on our circuit. No other track in the world has the same karts as us and boy are they impressive!
While the base chassis is still the older JK2 model, the karts feature an improved steering system which is slightly more forgiving, and an entirely new front end from the Biz Evo Kart. The body work looks a lot more aggressive than their predecessors and, when complete with a Lakeside Karting livery, the whole package is mouth watering.
Let’s be honest, if you’re using these karts then it is for the adrenalin rush that comes from having an engine behind you on either side and the speed that this gives – so lets talk about that!
The karts have been fitted with the latest Honda engines – the GX160 T4 spec engines to be specific – and as was the case before, we’re giving you two of these engines and a grand total of 320cc.
The speeds that will be achievable on the track will be pretty similar to that which you could achieve on the outgoing fleet but what is speed without being able to stop?
We couldn’t get a new fleet without finding a way that you could improve your lap times now could we? The karts features a top quality brake system from Kelgate, the company who supply brakes for most professional racing karts!
One of the main advantage of using these brakes is that they will not fade. You can come back time and time again and the brakes will still have that same bite that they did the first time you sat in the kart, offering you a familiar feel and allowing you to hit the track hard from the start.
As a company, our main focus is your safety and, while motorsport can be dangerous in any form, this is something that we take very seriously. With this in mind, as well as fitting the improved brakes, the new fleet all have a more pronounced front bumper.
This is much higher than on the previous fleet and means that, should you run out of talent and head for a quick meeting with the tyre barrier, you will be protected even more than before.
After giving the karts the once over, track manager Scott Law said, “These karts are as close to professional racing as you will get without going Pro yourself.”
“All of the little improvements that have been made have added up to make a kart that is easy to handle but still offers a challenge for those hoping to top the leader boards.”
We are now taking booking on the new fleet and our sales team are available to take your call from 9am every morning on 01708 863 070.
We’re ready. What’s your excuse?
